The essence of Democracy is to choose a government by the people, for the people and to the people. To prove this,Canadian stake a walk to the polling booth once in four years to elect a government which will rule them for the next four years.
The curtain has gone up for the battle for power for the next four years among the political parties and the public will know on the night of October 21st as to who will rule them for the next four years.
The 2019 Canadian Federal Election will take place on October 21st. to elect members of the House of Commons to the 43rd. Canadian Parliament. Three major parties – Liberals, Conservatives, New Democrats along with the Green Party are contesting the elections to obtain power in the Parliament.
Among the main issues in the forthcoming election are: Climate change and the economy, employment, health care, taxation and small businesses, Cost of Living,SNC-Lavalin affair(allegations of attempted political interference with the justice system), AffordableHousing, Child Care, raisingOld Age security incomes for Seniors, gun violence, transportation etc.
The present scenario in the campaign reveals that the gap between the two major parties Liberals and Conservatives is narrow to predict the winner at this early stage.
Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada claim that they have a positive plan to continue investing in the middle class, growing an economy that works for everyone, and protecting a clean environment. The party’s campaign slogan is “Choose Forward”.
The Conservative Party is promising responsible management of taxpayers’ money; a welcoming land of refuge for the world’s persecuted and afflicted; the defense of clean Canadian technologiesand a clear understanding of responsibilities between levels of government.
NDP’smission is to rescue grassroots democracy from the hyper-partisan spin that makes voters recoil, a goal to ensure that the planet, the biosphere and their part of it, survive and thrive for our children and theirs and theirs…
The Green Party wishes to turn the vision together of a more prosperous, more sustainable, and fairer country – into a better future for everyone.
