“My donation is my gratitude for what the Hospital has done for me and my family” – Rajeef
By Siva Sivapragasam
Rajeef Koneswaran who is the owner of RE/MAX Community Realty Inc., Brokerage passionately believes that a part of the money you make should flow back to the community for the betterment of people’s lives. He made this belief into realty when he donated $25,000 recently to the Scarborough Health Network to provide excellent treatment and better care for patients.
Rajeef says that the reason for his donation was the inspiration arising from the care provided by the SHN and other hospitals to his family. His eldest son was born in the Scarborough General Hospital while his younger son was born at the Rouge Centenary Hospital.
Medical care was also provided to his parents and other relatives in the same Hospital network. When the pandemic broke out, the SHN and frontline workers were working harder than ever to help and save countless lives. What came to Rajeev’s mind was that a monetary donation would be put to better use in the hands of a hospital to save lives.
As a deep-rooted resident of Scarborough, he takes pride in the fact that he has lived and worked in Scarborough for a good part of his life. His Brokerage RE/MAX Community Realty Inc is also based in Scarborough.
When the pandemic began, the SHN and frontline workers were working harder than ever to save lives. Rajeef thought that his donation would be put to better use by a hospital to save people’s lives.
Situated in one of the most diverse communities in Canada, Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Foundation inspires the support necessary to improve patients’ lives through exceptional care at Scarborough Health Network across three hospitals and eight satellite sites.
Rajeev Koneswaran’s contribution to the Scarborough Health Network does not end with this donation. He is determined to carry forward his commitment in the future too.
