Mailvaganam Ragunathan, 92, passed away on Tuesday October 20, 2015 in Toronto Canada. He was son of Mr and Mr Ragunathan, and brother to Kugathasan and Srinivasan. He was born and raised in Sandilipai, Jaffna where he married Sivalakshmi (Sivam), daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Vaithilingam. In Alaveddy North, he brought up his family of six children Sivakumaran, Selvakumaran, Devaki, Komathy, Malathy, and Rohini (all alumni of Mahajana College). In 1989, he then migrated to Canada.
Mailvaganam Ragunathan was the father in law of Kumuthini, Nirmaladevi (Ratha), Prithiraj, Hariharan, Yogarajah, and Indrakumar and the grandfather of ??Nirupan, Ganeshan, Haran, Sututhi, Suvathy, Duvaraga (Reka), Sunny, Sharanya, Angith, Ajanthan, Aparnna, Janany, Kajany, Akhalya, and Akshaya. He was also the Brother in-law of late Vijayalakshmi, late Thiyarajah, late Isperan (Malaysia), Yogadevi (Malaysia), Vigneswaran, Prema, Balakrishnan, and Thevaranji.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct 24, 2015 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 8 am to 9 am at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON. The funeral service will be held at 9 am to 11 am at Chapel Ridge and the cremation will be on Sunday, October 25,2015at 12 Noon at Highland Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12492 Woodbine Avenue, Gormely, ON.
